Changes were happening and chances needed to be taken.

Moving into 2005, Advanced Laser Clinics experienced a winter of discontent: licensees were closing clinics and/or severing relations with the franchiser.   Thus, to not find myself facing another (a second) abrupt change as I experienced with WaMu, I took the chance and put in the effort to find my next mission.

After a relatively short job search campaign, on May 25, 2005 I was offered (and accepted) the position of Instructional Designer with Group Health Cooperative.

My first day at Group Health was Monday, June 13, 2005 . . . the same day the employees of Advanced Laser Clinics were informed that the enterprise had been sold to a competitor and would soon be closing operations.
